Of course, life at Stroger Hospital of Cook County is not all work.  We are as committed to your development as a person as we are to your development as a pediatrician.  We were innovators among residency programs in tracking and limiting resident work hours to prevent fatigue and burnout.

In addition, our department enjoys informal gatherings.  We have a picnic by the lake each summer, a potluck lunch replaces Noon Conference quarterly, and the interns get together socially after hours on a regular basis. The camaraderie among residents is continually cited as one of the strengths of our program. The bonds you form here will last a lifetime.
